So the past couple of days, I've been warming up to record Ultraviolet Landscape and Vessels...but, before blogtalking about that, just read a pretty cool news story. They don't happen too often; plane crashed in Bali, everyone survived...but...
Wouldn't it be a cool ride at some amusement park? Check the pictures... its cool for several reasons: 1. It can show survival skills; 2. It provides a unifying communication experience; 3. It can use water...and everyone loves water rides..except for cats...but they're not usuall...anyways... 4. Effectualized Innovation and Inventiveness in the Universal Studios sense of the way [Backdraft, King Kong...] would be reawakened in an educational and realistic way... 5. Gotta wonder what kinda plane could be used... 6. John Denver, Buddy Holly and Richie Valens songs could be playing.... 6. It would be amazing if someone could combine a rollercoaster with it and use the ending as a sort of safe survival...literally giving meaning to a shirt "I survived a plane crash." with a picture on it... 7. Tourism 8. New Jersey. 9. Positive experience....
So, in essence, this endeavour would be a kinesthetic reconstruction much like a rollercoaster that drops and vibrates wherein the exit would be through a waterfilled airplane... People would dig it
Most important reason why it would be good: In various ancient cultures, things of danger were manifested as objects as to ward off the actual dangers... example: Temple of Apollo...no one wants the dude riding the sun to burn them with another volcano... example: Colossus of Rome... no one wants another Goliath misunderstanding... example: Statue of Liberty...women's rights, bitch... kidding... so yeah, less plane crashes would be attributed to paranoia...and instead restructured into "oh, okay..."
COACHELLA: Gotta admit, saw it coming... leave it to drugs and morons to ruin what was a great festival.. I have an almost clairvoyant natural response and have been jamming along to/watching coachella on YouTube and its disheartening to feel all the dehydration and anger going on... Its not about fitting in..Its not about feeling good immediate gratification bitchy style... Its a festival for celebrating arts. Art is the only surviving form of magic around.... And then the dude on LSD or XtC pukes all over someone's shoes... the guard rail... or some queers mosh in "the back" of the "Crowd" and the people around have to crush on each other unromantically.... or some idiot photographer for the San Jose Mercury News spends 6 or 7 pictures on the same half naked 6 chicks in such a waste of reporting..... or, the bigger picture comes into focus; fools don't even realize where they are, why they are there, and it just gets turned around and around until its like a telescope fogged with confusion... and there are just "stars" around...
Anyways, after my last Coachella experience, which was when RATM and RHCP and I think Massive Attack played, I decided it was going downhill and it has... wish they would only sell tickets to people with artistic backgrounds... FBI checks could come in handy.... people could start utilizing the government correctly again...
Its nice of the folks to broadcast it on YouTube though; really enjoyed Of Monsters and Mice...or Of Monsters and Men...women... whatever, Puscifer was cool, Violent Femmes I had never seen, some other parts... wish Yeva from Puerto Rico had played again...That band is still on the top of the Coachella bands list...
My fingers are sore from playing so much guitar... might take a rest day... maybe remaster some drum tracks... or just make my fingers even sorer...we'll see...
Sorcery still exists...
