Taking the advice of the Cosmic Calendar email I receive, I went for a hike near where I used to live... must've covered a good 3 miles to my old house, where I rang the doorbell to see if I could take a picture in the backyard for another painting concept involving my cat; the woman answered through the new and cooler door. "How may I help you?" Was an older asian woman, probably Chinese .. anyways she said she preferred I came back tomorrow... guessing the crime in the area has increased rather than decreased...So, we'll see if I can get that picture tomorrow...
Anyways, while hiking, I came across a dude taking what appeared to be his little daughter for a hike. They moved out of the way for me and I said "Thanks." Dude was like "We're looking for unicorns..." I said "check out Disney...:" Apparently, someone rigged up a stuffed animal unicorn near a tree...When I got back on the Cinderella Trail to walk back to the car [took a little longer route, but jogged a lot of the way], I noticed him with a camera phone out. Low and behold, the little one is slowly approaching the stuffed unicorn. Hilarious. But, weird. What a place to put a stuffed animal...
Anyways, the trails are more solid than they were when I lived there. Although, I know the cut-thrus of the trails and used them, its sure a lot easier for those new to the hiking spots to navigate...saw the two unicorn hunters going to Robert's Park when I left...
The fogginess was really helpful in making it a nice hike. Perfect way to gear up the inspiration of fresh air for recording next week... Sometimes its like the spots where I would hike call me back right before I do something cool... Last time I hiked like that I was recording the demos and they came out pretty decent... Synchronicity or Godwork...?
