ahh... trip-hop and folk/bluegrass/country... whats the difference...
been working on the patriot album [sunglasses and silver dollars] and the warlock album [c l o c k]...
decided to add a new song to the Patriot one...maybe a cover if the whole thing is under 80 mins...like to keep the albums as close to full-on cd time as possible....but I was trying out different arrangements of the cover (wrote about it in a previous blog) and all the arrangements are weirdly clocking in at 8:48...so...yeah, kinda long...maybe a end of cd kind of track... the other one is pretty sweet sounding; worked with a viola player and hope to record the Patriot CD with some viola from her on it...sounded so beautiful. I'll put up some trax from the jam when I get around to it... She's a cool, older, windsurfer/former teacher...strictly business, but it makes you realize how amazing some music can sound with another perspective instrumentally added.
recorded some new demos/added another vocal track over a couple for the acrostics change-ups...they sound nice.
and, c l o c k. Wow. I am fuckin' amazing is what runs through my head when I listen to the demo. Switched up the order a bit and wrote another song....and gonna write one more before I refine the demo. This album is really really good to me...but, probably because it was one of those concepts that is all over the world-the biological clock...and the way I organized it includes everything revolving around this clock that I've witnessed as a part of human society. Its like the moon, on a bright night, with one of those trippy gas effects, and a bunch of coronas around the moon.
Was fortunate enough to hear one of my neighbors playing her piano earlier...classical stuff...and I realized that I really do start to hallucinate sometimes-sober, while listening to certain songs...this one was like a freeway in the sky sorta thing....or an old rollercoaster smoothed out by air. It was like I saw myself going up to some cumulus clouds and then they started moving...some got dark....but it was a journey...then the end of the piece reminded me of gliding down to the ocean... weird.
For some odd reason, my room stinks, might be something in the garbage; gonna take it out.
