Sure does take a while to reorganize after a move...happened last time [from Oakland to Alameda] and this time is not as bad, but...there's just this energy like "Ok, where would I put these in this new environment...." I'd say it takes about as long to settle in as it does to move everything, packaging..yadda yadda....
Sore arms. Lotta tree pruning these past few days... Why? Well, there's this slope backyard in this new place...and apparently, no one from the home owners' crew has ever seen things remotely close to my view of a living environment turned to home...
1. The plants and trees produce everything good about fresh air... when they get all tangled up or certain weed/vines start choking some of the trees, someone living in the area who can, should help clean up the situation.
2. Trees need haircuts too. When they're young, they have a bunch of branches, all with the goal of getting light... When they get stronger, height becomes important so a lot of the little guys need to be recycled and chopped.
3. Who the fuck lets some fuckin trees pull down a fence they put up?
Anyways, ha. Went to the shooting range on Sunday....shot a bunch...still have pretty good aim for being a few years rusty.... did the best with the .22's and the 9mm... obviously the big brother of the 22....whatever fuckin caliber it was....isn't as useful to me.... anyways, got in trouble after the first target change; shit was hilarious.... The shooting range has this one huge rule, when all the weapons are on the bench and people are walking to or from the target areas, we are not supposed to go near the bench at all....court room shit...anyways, sure enough, on the way back, totally tried to put the left over target stickers on the bench and got yelled the shit out of... I took it well...then a short time before the next round, someone else and another person made the same mistake...
Apparently, a lot of people do this, but goddamn, the overseers are good at noticing... Great activity...
Was surprised at how little of a kick the bigger caliber gun I shot had...
.22 handguns are pieces of shit, btw.
Worked a bit on some painting stuff...wrote a song to record as one of those on the spot songs for the vessels vocal sessions coming up...
yawn.
