About MLK Jr.'s Speech...which I listened to in full last night...pretty good stuff...
Its interesting how its misinterpreted though; He was specifically talking about corruption causing inequality/unequal treatment in Alabama and numerous other places... He clearly says "We should not disconnect ourselves because of ethnicity.." Too many people cite him for saying "the police or government are always corrupt." Not true. I was handcuffed and held down by knee on my neck for absolutely no wrong doing...but I'm aware that the area this happened in has a more severe prone-to-problems kind of atmosphere... The whole T. Martin thing comes to mind...but, who instigated what?
Anyways, then I listened to another speech which had a picture that caught my eye..."Meeting to be continued on Nov. 12" or something...why? because my birth date is Nov. 11....anyways, total different mood and it made me realize this:
MLK Jr. was not trying to be a celebrity....yet, he affected tons of people and found himself one of the only ones doing something for the civil rights movement...and it was still a sexist as fuck time back then...because he always says "brotherhood," probably in an attempt to show the racist "brotherhoods" that the behavior around is way off based in this country. However, listening to this speech [the second one....after his I have a dream one...], it also made me realize that he was being looked at as an idol - everything he stood against; you could tell that he was ultimately striving for a more intelligent set of communities-perhaps to make the country as strong as his own personal church, or just because, plain and simply, dude was a genius like that...and its really kind of sad to hear some of the background shouting like "yeah, do it..." as if the people listening were just being entertained as opposed to wanting to make the country stronger and wiser.... and he seems really tired.
He makes the best comparison to any struggle caused by years of unfairness....
Its like an anchor. And, it is...the whole Middle East problem is proof of how accurate this is... there are two sides... the anchor starts dropping...if you pull it up too fast and the chain is rusty, it might break....and if you let it fall, it might not come back up...but if, a bunch of people on the same boat [the world] all do an intelligent part to try and help cushion or keep an eye on the anchor, it won't get any worse....
The man was a brilliant artist with words, and I would have loved to see the difference he would've made in a government position...like congress...or even a bunch more....if he hadn't been killed because of misunderstanding...
It also reminds me of the fire nearing the bay area water source....With the heavy winds, hope grows strong...and its really up to humans to keep it as strong and in touch with the surroundings...
Hope the firefighters get in front of the water source....and maybe get some kind of fire retardant barriers up...

Pornographic Thoughts...
Well, another news story about STDs in the porn industry.... I think the media should realize that the porn industry definitely needs more "exposure." Why? Because these STDs are spreading too much.... It affects every community. I've personally interacted [not sexually] with a few porn stars who have been victims of sexually transmitted diseases....and it brings the question up of why they contract these diseases in the first place?
The first huge issue that has yet to be tackled is quite simply sexual intercourse/"fu**ing" addiction. Look at it logically; people feel pressure; they end up having sex...sometimes with complete strangers...sometimes a little too much, maybe? Then, they feel like it is the only way to be happy...intelligent pursuit of happiness is completely ruined. The result is way harmful...eventually, a bunch of these people end up contracting life-inhibiting diseases...and if they are sex addicts, the shockwave is impeccable... Most of them turn to drugs to try and forget about their health...then they get irresponsible...and this STD thing just keeps on spreading and spreading...
Instead of worrying about huge issues in humanity...the people start becoming self-centered and focused on their own issues...and people who come in contact, both sexually and platonic-ally, are affected. Why does this happen in the first place?
1. People are made from sexual intercourse.
2/. During the Great Depression/WW1 era, people were all shook up and all these "sex parties" got popular to help them feel "better."
3. The porn industry is just about as diverse as the world itself...which is appealing to parts of every population in such a strange world.
4. Unfortunately, people in the porn industry [not everyone] are about as greedy and unintelligent as the majority of world populations as well....and pretty cut-throat for that matter.
5. The resulting factors of these lead people to confusion; viewers are often pressured to live up to some porn movie's production, act one out, or simply just don't understand some of the more "different" pornography out there....which leads to more confusion.
The point: Where is the professionalism in this?: If this is no longer a professional, secure, safe industry, then what is it becoming? A cult.
It sucks to read about all these diseases and stuff, but quite frankly, people need to be more responsible...I know that I am a legitimately poor person, but there are far more risks than benefits involved in the "industry" to ever seriously want to become a porn star in this day and age....and besides, the majority of the "male" porn stars are gay....I'm straight...and things obviously aren't making much sense in that part of society...
I honestly think the whole "Tawnee Stone"/Amateur pornography subculture has ruined millions of people's lives...and quite frankly, its really depressing to see this kind of blatant ignorance, invasion of privacy, and irresponsibility that is going down in a so called part of "Entertainment/" It is downright not entertaining, insulting, and personally depressing to see a bunch of "entertainers" getting blood crippled like this for money.... Prostitution is illegal for this reason.

New Guitar Pedal idea...and Revisions and...Moving stuff...
Been getting ready to move...
should be a better environment...
planning on finishing up the vocals for the vessels demo/album then working on shapes as soon as i'm comfy...
need to find some kind of morning job now that the markets are kind of better....right?
maybe a little better? maybe....
wishy washy job opportunities...kinda sucky wucky...
anyways, bagged up and sealed the maority of the paintings im either done with/working on, except for 9 of the ones im revolving thru...
worked on the ethereal fire painting yesterday and added some new stuff:
concept:
sunset..clouds///water///
a dock...on the dock, a pyramid on fire....or radiating fire rather...and a mirror in front of a distant tree...
also, water on the dock, a closed book, and open book with pages flipping, out of which spinner dolphins are flying into the ocean...
then theres a sarcophagus and a horse jumping from the water onto the dock, near the sarcophagus and two people near the horse...
eventually going to be someone fishing too...might turn into something fishing instead...
anyways, revisions...
working on acrostics, some minor changes to the other albums, and lyric revisions as well as a bunch of other stuff...kind of like the paintings....revolving through a bunch of stuff...
and, finally, was listening to a Failure song this morning, Solaris....great album, turns out it was rereleased on vinyl...cool stuff...aw, sold out... vinyls are kind of cool because theyre split up so you can hear a bunch of different track orders....and so, upon finding that it was sold out, hopped to ebay to check boomerang wah prices...way too high...then thought about something:
a new kind of wah pedal...
usually wahs go up and down...this one would be like a rotovibe/drum synth/boomerang in one...
basically, four settings, two rhythm, one rotorhythmic, and the boomerang...but...instead of up and down, it would sort of boat-in-waves side-to-side.... maybe in the shape of a boat....a boat wah...wah tah.... anyways, so, i hit up the Mandala drum synthesizer site and sent an email...if its possible, at some point before I die, I'm going to build one...or work with someone/people to make one.... it really would add some new character to the guitar world...

next scene: there is a waitress bringing a tray to a table with two people... one of them says "can we please have the check as well?"
next scene: a business person is writing a check...he signs it... there is a stop sign transition...

So, I stayed up late last night...chillin' with some online homies... and this morning, had a bunch of revision ideas/new ones:
1. Weapons against telemarketing: The most sophisticated telemarketers show no mercy. The only option, as horrible as it may seem is the "reverse prank call." When a telemarketer calls, you just act like you're mid-conversation on some important call...the key stance is a forward thrust kind of vocal motion. You are the way; they are in your way. Example: "ring ring" "..as I was saying, the prime initiative in this idea would be to essentially rid the world of power problems...its like the Theorum 7.5 from Newton's Thoughts Revised...and this static charge would essentially combine a Tesla-like energy solution...its just like the stem cell burger, do you know what I mean?...hello? Hello? [click]." The telemarketer will be caught off guard and you can also use the "who are you, why are you calling me? defensive take down"... Ha.
2. A new painting idea: This is essentially how too many people see women. So, there are a bunch of women almost like cheerleaders..inside of a metallic, can kind of atmosphere...but they have black and white makeup on like pantomimes... I thought out the basic idea...its going to be on a piece of wood, squared and somewhat routed, with a mirror circle in the center, and the cheerleader/mime hotties in the middle with a fire sort of reflective atmosphere, wherein the women are all painted in gray-scale... Obviously, about equality.
3. Tiger Shark Carpets. A dark carpet with the pattern of a tiger shark will essentially raise awareness to the necessity for vacuuming before little insects start flying up...bad joke.
4. A ceiling with tiger stripes painted on it... ah, a multiple application. The combination of light and dark colors will balance the room temperature to an extent that a solid color might not necessarily be able to achieve.
5. A new book. "Whats the matter?" Its going to be about behavioral science and much like a combination of Breathing in Shapes, Understanding Time Travel, but to human being/general animal cognition and behavioral observations. Example in general metaphor: There is a track....people are sitting down on the track and an object falls from above...they all kind of get confused...then, after a long while, another object falls a few feet further than the first object. The people choose to keep focusing on the first one, and then eventually some dude walks past them, picks up the object, fits it in with the one they're staring at, and walks on... Do they worship this person? Do they follow him? Are they possessive or hesitant to allow this person to put the objects together....? Why?
6. A bunch of lyrical revisions for the Acrostics album...
7. The next Patriot album... There was an old demo I made, its still on a myspace page...called know wolves... gonna turn it into a country song; lyrics:

Essentially, this completes the second patriot album...Was thinking originally about 5 Patriot albums, might just end up with 4 solid ones...then I may try and do some collaboration/band-like stuff...however, I would prefer to work with women...

9. Probably going to move back to Oakland...hope the applications are reviewed and it becomes a solid thing so I can start packing things up organized. The last move was very sudden so it took a very long time to sort through a lot of items...Blessing in disguise...Big room to little room...filtered out the junkish stuff...back to a non-microscopic room : more space.
10. Probably going to finish writing the Tao/R&B album soon.
11. Vessels is coming nicely.
12. There are too many stupid people who think "wicca" or "Witchcraft" is about controlling people...bunch of morons just use a bunch of old agriculture "curses," "practices," "ceremonial setups," and talk about being anit-establishment...what a bunch of lazy fools...

Mastering Guitars, Transitions, Plans, The Puget Sound...
Good articles in the news lately about the Puget Sound...actually, great articles. I lived on the Puget Sound in an R.V. and then a little guest house for about three and a half months.... It is such a nice reminder of peacefulness... in fact, it inspired at least 40 songs out of the ones I've written... Sometimes, water is like a mirror in that way. The orcas are pretty stealthy...as if they know they're to be careful around humans...but I was fortunate enough to witness an orca family/pod take out a sea lion once. At first I thought it was a shark... I remember it clearly:
Had gone to Walmart to pick up some Progresso Soups...[great to live off when you have very little money]...and came back and was eating outside when I noticed a splashing in the distance. There was what appeared to be a seal moving....then I saw its head and realized it was a Sea Lion....Then, I saw the fins...
So much wildlife around there too...visits from otters...seals that swim right next to your little rowboat...bald eagles...Never saw an octopus though...nor a giant one... its sort of interesting how that "Darwin" theory of Island Gigantism seems reversed in water... you would think that the octopuses would grow smaller or make their way out to the ocean...since so much marine life comes thru the Puget, but nope...guess they're more like the Dungeness Crabs that live there...Excellent oysters on the Puget as well...and lots of sockeye salmon...
Anyways, realized after taking a little break that I've accomplished more this year in the art/music department than I originally thought...which is kinda nice. Been finishing the last minute add-ons to the year's creations little by little, however, finally been seeing some "Hiring" signs around... Apparently the summer jobs are going back to school, so hopefully I can land a decent morning one to start building up some financial worth, not to mention to help out social security/other taxes that benefit everyone...
Transitions... Its strange to look...or glance back at the past few years and see a bunch of transitions take place...new bridges...safer communities [for the most part]...less "threats"....and me completely nailing the fuck out of the most recent song I mastered [musicwise] for Vessels...
The Sun Helix.
Sun Helix is the song...and its about...eh....I guess a spectroscopic [big picture..little picture] kind of thing... I made the recording interesting by having like 9 guitar tracks...and after all the little adjustments...it ended up to have like...13 or 14...but wow...I like how it came out... last time I'm recording that many guitar tracks though....Three songs to go before I start the vocals...
However, some tips about mastering guitars....
When mixing the tracks, I noticed that often the 3:1 compression ratio with a very low attack [1-1.5] and the usual kind of release [450-500], each third note of the spectra in the song is pushed out...so, after all 13, when doing the final mix, I turned the ratio to 1:5:1 to check out the juiciness...and it sounded great...so then I did another 3:1 and tested the 2:1 as well as some others... [keep in mind, the dB level makes all the difference, but those depend on specifics, so this general knowledge doesn't cover that], and landed the final mix without much of an EQ change with a 3:1 ratio and 1.5 attack... Another helpful thing in making the guitars sound fuller, different, and almost like a vacuum....was the panning. I made sure each track was panned differently as to cover the general side and back of the head region with the guitars...kept the drums on the upper/lower sides [2-3 tracks] and it was a little difficult to accomplish with some of the guitars mixed in with the drums...but, I'm really happy with the result.... Also, really happy with "Dragon" or "Sunset," which is the last track.... Upon listening to the drums, I realized how much work and how fast I did that work was put in to this particular set of songs and am pretty thankful/amazed with myself... Rather narcissistic...
Been listening to the other demos already recorded, and I'm thinking of changing up some of the vocals on Acrostics... also writing the R&Bish album and "Tao" little by little...
If a job earns me enough, I might spend a little on some studio time to either record the UV album, or a bunch of the trip hop albums/vocals....
Also, touched up the country/folk/bluesy Patriot songs and added a new one for the album...the lyrics are something like this:

Apparently the summer jobs are going back to school, so hopefully I can land a decent morning one to start building up some financial worth, not to mention to help out social security/other taxes that benefit everyone...
Transitions... Its strange to look...or glance back at the past few years and see a bunch of transitions take place...new bridges...safer communities [for the most part]...less "threats"....and me completely nailing the fuck out of the most recent song I mastered [musicwise] for Vessels...
The Sun Helix.
Sun Helix is the song...and its about...eh....I guess a spectroscopic [big picture..little picture] kind of thing... I made the recording interesting by having like 9 guitar tracks...and after all the little adjustments...it ended up to have like...13 or 14...but wow...I like how it came out... last time I'm recording that many guitar tracks though....Three songs to go before I start the vocals...
However, some tips about mastering guitars....
When mixing the tracks, I noticed that often the 3:1 compression ratio with a very low attack [1-1.5] and the usual kind of release [450-500], each third note of the spectra in the song is pushed out...so, after all 13, when doing the final mix, I turned the ratio to 1:5:1 to check out the juiciness...and it sounded great...so then I did another 3:1 and tested the 2:1 as well as some others... [keep in mind, the dB level makes all the difference, but those depend on specifics, so this general knowledge doesn't cover that], and landed the final mix without much of an EQ change with a 3:1 ratio and 1.5 attack... Another helpful thing in making the guitars sound fuller, different, and almost like a vacuum....was the panning. I made sure each track was panned differently as to cover the general side and back of the head region with the guitars...kept the drums on the upper/lower sides [2-3 tracks] and it was a little difficult to accomplish with some of the guitars mixed in with the drums...but, I'm really happy with the result.... Also, really happy with "Dragon" or "Sunset," which is the last track.... Upon listening to the drums, I realized how much work and how fast I did that work was put in to this particular set of songs and am pretty thankful/amazed with myself... Rather narcissistic...
Been listening to the other demos already recorded, and I'm thinking of changing up some of the vocals on Acrostics... also writing the R&Bish album and "Tao" little by little...
If a job earns me enough, I might spend a little on some studio time to either record the UV album, or a bunch of the trip hop albums/vocals....
Also, touched up the country/folk/bluesy Patriot songs and added a new one for the album...the lyrics are something like this:
